Partial & Intensive Outpatient

The goals of River Point Behavioral Health’s partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient hospitalization (IOP) programs are to reduce emotional distress, promote self-esteem, and improve functioning level. The development of a clear, practical and personalized treatment plan is accomplished by the work you will do as part of the treatment team. The attending psychiatrist, nurse and program therapist will assist you in developing and working this plan.

Our program will help you develop goals and objectives that will match your personal goals. As part of the program, we will help you with:

  1. Crisis management: You may be going through a crisis period and our treatment team will assist you in resolving it. Working actively with you, a crisis plan will be written and implemented with as little disruption as possible to your normal life. In this way, an inpatient hospitalization may possibly be avoided.
  2. Transition/reentry: To help you phase down from a recent inpatient hospitalization or reentry into the community, our therapeutic environment provides a needed step for some who require a continued period of therapeutic support and structure.
  3. Rehabilitation: To provide rehabilitation treatment for adults who need to enhance and improve living skills and independence.

By means of individual and group psychotherapy, medication, family support services and community participation, you can concentrate on many areas of your life that need redirection, strengthening and new coping strategies. If you have a chemical abuse problem, the treatment team will work with you to develop and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

IOP hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and PHP hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
