Treatment for SeniorsThe difficult changes that many people face as
they grow older – such as the death of a spouse or medical problems
– can lead to depression. However depression is not normal or a
necessary part of aging. In fact, most seniors are satisfied with
their lives despite the challenges of growing old. Left alone,
depression not only prevents older adults from enjoying life like
they could be, it also takes a heavy toll on health.
How can the Older Adult Program at River Point Behavioral Health help me?Our acute inpatient program is designed for people age 55 and
over to diagnose and treat the complex mental health and substance
abuse problems of older adults. We focus on helping seniors to
maintain their quality of life and enhance their self respect and
dignity.
What happens when I call for help?Treatment begins with scheduling a free and confidential
assessment conducted by a qualified mental health professional. The
assessment specialist will seek a personal insight into your past
and current symptoms to determine the level of care you need. The
assessment takes approximately 30-45 minutes and concludes with
recommendations for the best treatment options. Will my insurance pay for treatment?River Point Behavioral Health is a Medicare and Tricare provider. We also have contracts with most commercial health insurance plans and Medicare HMOs. The facility is licensed by the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration and is Accredited by the Joint Commission. Help is Just a Phone Call Away
